Pioneer Day

We spent Pioneer Day weekend at my parent's house in Mendon.
Both of my sisters and their husband and kids were there too.
We started the weekend out right by jamming to some Rock Band.
Justin and Dan really get into it!

On Saturday morning we went to Mendon Days!

Lydia was pretty excited about the celebrations
and being able to be with Grandpa!

They had a pig, chicken and bunny chase.

I kind of felt bad for the little pigs becausethey had tons
of little kids chasing them all around the field.Justin did the grown up pig chase
but they were only able to use one hand.

Nathan did the bunny chase but I think
he had more fun chasing the other kids around.
He is the little guy in the middle of the
group with red pants and a white shirt.

Then they had a parade that

started at noon. It was pretty hot!

I am way behind on posting what has been happening. Two weekends ago Brady's parents came up to visit. It was a lot of fun. We did some shopping for the Peterson Family Reunion that is coming up and we had to go to Charlie's because it is tradition! And it is delicious!

Julie ordered the "baby" scoop and did not realize that it was really going to be a baby scoop!
That was how much ice cream she got. It really filled her up.
After ice cream we went and walked around the Cache Valley Mall. While we were there Julie discovered how much she likes Maurices. She found a lot of cute outfits. It was really fun helping her find different things and then seeing everything she tried on. For dinner Rick took us to El Toro Viejo. I love Mexican food. The weekend was a lot of fun and we were excited to have them come and visit! We love you guys!

A Weekend with Brad & Kendra

Brad and Kendra came up and stayed with us last weekend. They came up later on Friday night so we stayed home and watched a movie at our place. Saturday morning Brady bought us McDonald's and then we went to Willow Valley Park to play some frisbee!

Brady has a boomerang frisbee that was not cooperating so it kept getting stuck in the trees. I think that we spent more time throwing his shoes up into the tree to knock it down then we actually did playing frisbee. It was pretty funny though and I am sure the people that drove past us got a good laugh watching four adults throwing shoes in the tree!

After frisbee we went and walked around Downtown Logan and looked at all the sidewalk sales. Brad found some music for him to play on his sax and Kendra bought a book!

Then we went and saw...


It was a pretty good movie but all of us thought that it was talked up too much. These little guys definitely saved the movie! They were hilarious!

Later that night we went to a demolition derby! Kendra had never been to one and this was a first great derby. It was one of the best ones I have been too!

The trucks are the best! They get into it a lot more than the cars do! The lime green one to the left is my parent's neighbor Landon. He ended up winning (dominating!) the truck heat! It was great fun!

Independence Day Weekend!

The fourth of July weekend was a lot of fun for us. My cousin Bradford and his wife Kayla came to visit my Grandma from out of town so we were able to spend some time with them. I had not seen Bradford in a long time so it was the first time that Brady and him met and it was the first time that we got to meet Kayla too. They are such a fun couple!

On Friday night we went to La Beau's with Mom and Dad to get a shake and then we headed over to a church parking lot where we had blankets saving our spot for Utah State's firework show. Bradford and Kayla met up with us there to watch. The fireworks were pretty good but the traffic to get home was crazy!
On Saturday we all went on a hike in the Wellsville Mountains. (No worries, there were no near rolling over Yukons this time.) Hollie even got to go. You can tell she is a herding dog by the way that she has to go to the front of the hikers to the back constantly to make sure that everyone is still there. She loves the destination of this hike because we end up at a lake, that is more like a murky pond. She jumped in the water as soon as we came up the hill.

After the hike we went to the Cache Valley car show and walked around. Dad had us all choose a color of car and a year before we were born and then we had to find a car in that color and made in that year.
I found mine right off the bat!

Then Dad found a car that looked like his first car named Chester!

Brady wanted to win the car they were giving away which was a 1967 Pontiac GTO (Yes, I had to look it up.) so we all went to see if any of our tickets would be drawn.

The Cruisin' Parade is my favorite part of the car show because you get to see all the cars but you get to sit in the shade in stead of walk around in the sun in order to see them.

On Sunday we went over to Grandma Rowley's house for a BBQ. It was fun to play horse shoes and lasso golf.
Grandma always makes sure there is tons of food so we all left stuffed! I had Monday off but Brady had to work so I spent the day cleaning up the apartment and reading one of my books! It was a great weekend!

Our One Year Anniversary!!!

Brady and I celebrated our Anniversary on June 27th! We have been married for one year now and it still seems like it was just yesterday! We have done so many fun things in the past year and we are looking forward to the many years that are to come.

We spent our Anniversary weekend down in Salt Lake. The 25th is Kendra's Birthday so we went with the family to Olive Garden to celebrate! Good choice on the restaurant Kendra!After we ate dinner she wanted to go to Nielsen's Frozen Custard for dessert! Yummy!

The next morning we went and did sealings at the Salt Lake Temple for our June temple trip and also to help us remember the blessings we received by being sealed for all Eternity in this beautiful temple! I made sure we didn't go here before so that it could be for our anniversary!

After the Temple we went to Lunch at The Hilton and then we went to Taylorsville Dayzz! It was fun to walk around and look at all the booths even in the heat! My favorite place to eat down in the Salt Lake area is at a Mexican restaurant called...
It is so delicious! So of course Brady being the amazing guy that he is took me there to eat dinner! He also took me to get ice cream afterwords at Baskin Robbins!
My gradparents were having a BBQ so we decided to drop in to see everyone for a little bit and then we went and saw...

It is such a good movie! Way cute! If you have not already seen it I highly recommend that you do! After the movie we met back up with my family at the park to watch the Taylorsville fireworks!

On Sunday we checked out of our Hotel and went to Shorts' for lunch and to visit for a little while. Then we headed back up here to Cache Valley and went over to my parent's house because they had our wedding cake in their freezer. Mom was nice enough to set it out a little before so that it was not still frozen. I was surprised how well most of the frosting stayed on.

Brady decided that he should stab the cake instead of slicing it!
Mom caught a picture of me showing how I really felt about the idea of eating a year old cake. I was pretty skeptical but it is tradition so I went through with it!It was not as bad as I was thinking it would be but I still only managed to have a couple of bites.

My Heart Tests

My heart has been having irregular heart rhythm so

my doctor had hooked up to monitor for

48 hours to test me for Tachycardia.
Don't mind my stomach!

It consisted of seven electrodes that were attached to

my chest and a lot of wires that ran down to the recorder

that is hooked onto my belt. I was really uncomfortable the

whole time that I had to have it on and I ended up being

allergic to the tape so it left some pretty good sores all over.
