Playing at the Park

 It was a cooler Saturday so we decided to go to the

Farmer's Market and then play at a park.

 Xander loves the slide.

Pioneer Day

 Brady had the day off work so we 

started with breakfast at McDonald's.

 Xander loves his hash browns!

 Then we went to the Logan parade.

 We love seeing these guys because 

it is crazy how high they get.

It was a fun Pioneer Day and we

enjoyed having Brady home from work!

Mendon Days

 In preparation for my Disneyland races,

 I decided to run the Mendon Days 10k. 

I did it in 1:15. It was hot and I had been pretty sick

 the week before so I was just glad I finished.

 Out of all the runners I bet only 15-20 did more than the 5k.

I was doing really well keeping up with everyone 

but then they all turned down the 5k

 road and I had to run alone. 

I did not finish last though!

 The half way mark was right by my parents house so I had

a lot of people cheering me on. That's Lydia and Daisy.

 Then we went to the parade!

 It is a small parade but they throw tons of candy.

Xander liked clapping and waving at everyone.

 After the parade we walked around the booths and

watched the firemen spray everyone with water and foam.

 My Dad is a good sport and took the grandkids out.

Then we went and had dinner at my 

parent's house and played outside.

Porcupine Dam

 My family went to Porcupine Dam on day to play

in the water and have a picnic.

 Xander liked splashing in the water but

he did not like the tube and life jacket.

 My mom bought this wet suit for Xander.

I think he looks way cute in it!

This is him "jumping."He thinks he jumps so high 

but his feet never leave the ground.

Independence Day Celebrations

 We started our Independence Day celebrations by 

going to the Hyrum Parade.

I love how Xander is sitting the same way as my dad.

 They were giving away free watermelon

and Xander loved it!

 Then we went out to lunch and Xander stole

my Mom's hamburger and took a big bite out of it.

 That weekend we took Xander to my parent's house

so he could swim in their kid pool.

Then we all went to the Cruisin' Car Show Parade.

Nibley 5k

 

I have been training to run a 10k and a Half

Marathon at Disneyland.

To help get me ready I decided to run a couple

of races beforehand. I ran my first 5k at the

Nibley Heritage Days.

 I ran it in 33:01 minutes. 

Not too bad for my first run.
