Xander Turns 2!!

Xander J. turned two years old!
He absolutely loves all vehicles right now.
Trucks, Buses, Tractors, Trains, and Planes!
 Such an excited little boy!
Brady and I gave him Woody from Toy Story,
a tractor book, a CAT dump truck, and an alphabet book.
For dinner we went to the Mendon ballpark
with Grandma, Grandpa, Matthew and Lisa.
 His cute tractor birthday cake.
He is smiling for the picture but he doesn't like cake.
Presents with Grandma Caylinn and Grandpa Jeff.

Happy Birthday Xander J.

Xander's Birthday

Xander woke up so happy on his birthday!
I had blown up some balloons and put them all
over the living room floor for him to play with.
He was so excited about the balloons.
He even had to hug them.
Xander is opening up his package from
Aunt Lisa and Uncle Matthew.
 He loves it!
We went and got Brady from work so that we
could go out to lunch! We went to LeBeau's.
Brady and I gave Xander clothes, books and
this truck. He loves climbing in and out of it
and shutting the door and the tailgate.
We love you so much Xander!
Happy Birthday!!

Xander's First Birthday Party

We celebrated Xander's First Birthday
on Saturday, June 1st!
My Mom and Dad let us have it at their house.

Brady made the party invitations
and I was so excited for how they turned out!
The birthday boy posing for pictures.

Mom and Dad with the little man!

 The decorations.
Brady made the Happy Birthday signs and
I made the banner with his pictures that we
took of him every month of his first year.

With trying to keep to the baseball theme we
had Hot Dogs...
Nachos...
 Cracker Jacks...
and Cotton Candy.
Along with a lot of other great BBQ food!

We had everyone that was at the party
sign Xander's baseball bat.
 Baseball sugar cookies.
Brady and Xander by the Baseball Field cake
that my mom and I made.
I made Xander his own Baseball cake.
This is when everyone was singing Happy Birthday to him.
He didn't dig into his cake
as much as I thought he would.

 But he still had fun!
Xander got a lot of fun gifts!
And he had a lot of helpers to make
sure he could get all his presents opened.
I love how all five cousins are in the circle.
Xander got his first Diamondback t-shirt!
I love his face in this picture.
He was so excited for the puzzles.

These are just cute pictures of him playing outside!

 All the cousins together!
It was such a fun day and I was really
excited that everything turned out so well.
Thanks for everyone who came!
Happy Birthday Mr. J!

Xander's Helmet Mold

Xander had his appointment to get fitted for his helmet.
Dr. Greg started off by putting cloth all around
him so that his skin would not get irritated by the
plaster that was being put on his head.
I thought that he looked like a little knight
before the chain mail was put on.
Dr. Greg would get each piece of plaster wet and then
mold it around Xander's head.
He said that once he started that he would need to hurry
because the plaster would heat up as it hardened and it
would make Xander very uncomfortable.
Xander was trying really hard to be good.
He kept grabbing at his head so I
had to hold his hands down.
The further along it went the more upset he was getting.
His face was turning red and he was crying and trying
to get out of the Bumbo. He kept looking at me with sad
eyes like he was wondering why Mommy wasn't helping him.
I felt so bad that I had to keep holding him down instead
of helping him feel better.
He was much happier when the mold was taken off.
We both had plaster all over us.
Poor little guy!
It is crazy to me that they can make a helmet
from just this thing.
