Easter

For Easter Brady and I spent the weekend in
Eagle Mountain with Brittany, Justin and Lydia!
On Saturday we went with Nathan and Lydia
to an Easter egg hunt. They had the park sectioned
off by ages and there were tons of eggs!Lydia was too little to go out and get eggs but
Nathan had lots of fun and got a lot of eggs.
After that Easter egg hunt we went to Grandma and
Grandpa Nuttall's house for a Easter Picnic.
It was a lot of fun and Grandma even did
an Easter Egg hunt for the adults. On Sunday we went to church and then we decorated Easter Eggs!
Brady had fun writing on his Easter Eggs.Lydia had fun decorating eggs too.
She liked eating them more then coloring them.
Happy Easter!

Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
To kick off the month, the Child & Family Support Center
does a presentation for the community to learn more about the problem
of child abuse and the resources that the community has to prevent it.On the steps of the Cache County Courthouse are 192
pairs of children's shoes representing the 192 substantiated cases
of child abuse inCache County during the last year.
We planted a garden full of 538 pinwheels, one pinwheel
representing ten children that were served by the
Child & Family Support Center over the past year.Esterlee, the director of the center, talking about the services
the center provides and the importance of this month. The ribbon cutting ceremony officially marking the
beginning of Child Abuse Prevention Month. All the interns with our supervisor Jen.Kimmy and I.
Another way that we get the word out about our center is
by putting flocks of flamingos in businesses and people's yards.
People pay to put flocks out and the center puts up four flocks
every day and takes them down every night at different places.

Live Beyond Casual

Brady's Aunt Cheryl was recently diagnosed with Stage four
Pancreatic Cancer. To help her family out, the Peterson
family put on a 5K fundraiser for her!
The theme of the race was Live Beyond Casual
because Cheryl does not live her life casually.
She is always thinking of others and is the
prime example of selflessness.
It was so inspiring to see how many people came to
run for Cheryl! It just shows how many people
truly care about this amazing woman and family! As the runners started the race, they ran past Cheryl
as she waved to them and expressed her gratitude to them.
The runners would tearfully cheer and yell to
Cheryl how much they love her!Cheryl with two of her grandsons who are wearing the race day shirt. The Peterson Family.
