Xander's First Photoshoot

Brady and I did Xander's newborn pictures!
It is fun having a husband who likes to
take pictures and who does it really well.
We took these pictures on the 17th of June.

This is the one we used on his announcement.
It was my favorite one!
Xander is a natural Disney fan!

 Xander and his monkey.
We were at my parent's house when we were taking the pictures
and I had forgotten to bring my baseball for the pictures so
we borrowed my Dad's Dodgers one. We are not
Dodger fans so we had the baseball turned around
for the pictures but my Mom suggested having the Dodgers
logo show and give the picture to my Dad. Brady only took
one picture of it turned and that is what Xander decided to do!
He knows that it was the wrong team and he was concerned! :)

My Mom took this picture of us getting him situated and
so I thought I better add the behind the scenes picture.
Xander's Grandma Julie made his baseball hat and Mickey
ears! Isn't she amazing! Thanks Julie!

Marcia Lynn McClure

For Mother's Day Brady gave me a ticket to my favorite author's
book signing and dinner event. Mom came with me
while Brady stayed home with Xander.
The event was held at the American West Heritage Center.
They had a wagon to take everyone to the place the dinner
was at and it filled up before we got on so we started walking
but then we decided to just jump on the back of the wagon and hold on!
This is Marcia signing my books!
She is so much fun! And I love that she
remembers me from the first time we met!
At each of her events she has people dressed up and
they do reenactments of scenes in her books.
This is Ryder Maddox and Angelina "Dusty" Hunter
from one of my favorite books, Dusty Britches.
Ryder signing my poster. :)
Each table was decorated like one of the books.
We sat at the Crimson Frost table.
The dinner was dutch oven and it was so good!
Thanks for the ticket Brady J. and
thanks for coming with me Mom!

Three Year Anniversary

Brady and I celebrated our three year anniversary!!!
I cannot believe that it has already been three years!
I love being married to Brady! We have so much fun
together and he really is the best husband.
I am even more impressed with him now that we have
added Xander to our little family. He takes such good care
of both of us. We really are blessed to have him!
Brady had the day off work so we went to Fredrico's for lunch.
It is a really good pizza place. Xander got to come with us.
We went and walked around the mall after lunch.
Seeing how we have a little one at home we had a
short date and my mom watched Xander for us!
She was his first babysitter!
It was weird being away from him even though it
was only for a couple of hours.
Brady and I went trap shooting.
Brady had bought me a gun last year and I had
not been able to use it yet so it was fun to try it out.
I definitely need more practice at shooting but I am getting there.
I bruise very easily so we bought me a vest to
help absorb the kick of the gun. I still instantly
bruised but it was worth it and the vest makes
me look all professional until you see me shoot!

Happy Anniversary Brady J! I sure do love you and I am
glad you are mine for all eternity!!

Xander Meets the Whitmers

My sister Brittany and her family came up the weekend after
Xander was born to see him. Xander liked his Aunt Brittany so he is smiling.
 Xander and Uncle Justin
Xander meeting his cousins for the first time.
Lydia, Brooke and Xander.
Brooke loved Xander.
She kept crawling over to be by him.
Brooke also wanted to help keep Xander's binki in!
Lydia did not want to hold Xander but she would point to him and say baby!

Going Home

We took Xander home on Thursday June 7.
We could have gone home the day before but he had a lot of amniotic
fluid in his stomach that he was throwing up and it would make him choke.
He would stop breathing and turn blue when he started choking so we
stayed at the hospital for him to get checked up on more.
Mom and Dad putting his first outfit on.
Even with it being Newborn size it was a little big.
 First time in his carseat!
He looks so tiny in it.
All buckled in and ready to go!
It was very exciting and scary to be taking him home.
Let the journey begin!

First Bath

Xander's first bath at the hospital.
He did pretty good seeing how he does not like to be undressed.
He really liked having his hair washed!
I love how babies like the sound of the water.
What a cute little guy!
